MARKET COMMENT for MONDAY 31ST DECEMBER 2007

HEADLINES

Good Morning ShareCrazies

This Morning in London blue-chip shares opened modestly lower on this, the final half-day trading session of 2007. With absolutely nothing scheduled for release on the UK corporate diary today, and with the stock market closing at 12.30 pm, those traders unlucky enough to be in the office should simply just be squaring positions ahead of the year-end. At 8:30 the FTSE-100 was down 16.3 points at 6,460.6 with the FTSE-250 off 4.2 points at 10,646.1.
