THOUGHT FOR TUESDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2006
From top share author MALCOLM STACEY

Hello, fellow Crazies everywhere.

Shares are fascinating. You get addicted to them and their progress.

But there is a tendancy to cheer your winners - and conveniently forget about your losers.

It's rather like those annoying folk who sing their own praises and forget their faults.

We all have losing shares. We all have winning shares. The trick is to have slightly more winners than losers.

This can be done more easily by changing your losers for something better. At the same time you allow your winners to have their head.

But we cannot accept that our losers are losers. We dismiss their failure as a temporary blip. We expect them to rise again.

They can do. Mostly they don't. I drop losers. I encourage my winners by throwing more money at them.

But I realise that winners can quickly become losers. So I watch them like hawks. And drop 'em when things start to go wrong. Rock on!
