THOUGHT FOR THURSDAY 7TH DECEMBER 2006
From top share author MALCOLM STACEY

Hello Crazy Followers,

It won't have escaped your notice that the Footsie is stuck in a limbo around the 6,100 level.

Slightly smallers shares - in the Footsie 250 - are doing a bit better.

But the real star performers are quite a few tiddlers in the penny share bracket.

Of course, there are some also-rans in the this cheaper group, but then there always are.

We tend to keep track of our penny share winners - while conveniently pushing the losers to the back of our minds. This is a mistake.

And I generally try to avoid this mistake by keeping a careful watch on my penny failures - and junking them fast. A small loss is much better than a bigger one later on.

The money I raise by selling ringers goes into buying a penny share - or maybe two - that is actually winning. This is, of course, just another variation, gang, on the old 'ride the winners and drop the losers game'. And now it's on to the Punter's Return. Rock on!
