Hello Crazy Chums,
The usual healthy Footsie in the run up to Christmas hasn't happened yet.
The flipping index was higher two months ago - though not much higher.
So that makes me think that this could be a good week. And next week, too, I shouldn't wonder.
Buy January can be a poor month. A kind of party hang-over sets in, offsetting the optimsim that can cause a rush of Christmas share buying.
We'll have to see. But my plan is to buy for the next couple of weeks - and maybe in the first few trading weeks of the New Year. Then I'll sell quite a bit of stock - especially the poor performing stuff. And then I'll wait to Spring before investing it all again.
Of course, this is only a plan. And if the markets act against historical form, then I'll do something else. Maybe the opposite. You can never tell what will happen in Crazyland - and so making firm plans ain't always wise.
The rush up to Christmas may not happen; the New Year hang-over might be in Fantasyland, and not Crazyland. Best to stay on our toes - and change strategies fast, if the need arises. Rocking on!
