THOUGHT FOR TUESDAY 14TH NOVEMBER 2006
From top share author MALCOLM STACEY

Hello Crazy fans,

Shares don't stand still. That means we share shifters can have a bit of fun every day of the week.

Even weekends can see some action. But only if you have a few football shares. If the team wins, maybe the shares will rise on Monday.

Personally, I have a small interest in two football clubs - Spurs (TTNM.L) and Millwall (MWH.L). But I do not like this kind of investment.

It seems to me that any profits are used to pay ridiculous sums for players who are not special. I know they think they're special, but there has never been a truly skilled player in my view. Not consistently, anyway.

My own theory is that talent scouts should go to circuses to snap up a few cheap players. These players would be able to balance the ball on their heads while running from one end of the pitch to the other, before nodding the ball casually into the net.

Until this happens I will never invest another penny in a football club. And if I'd not already lost so much share value by supporting Millwall and Tottenham, I would now be taking the money out of these two clubs by selling my shares today.

There doesn't seem to be any future in soccer shares. But don't let me put you off buying them - perhaps you know more about the game than me. You probably do, actually. Rock on!
