ShareCrazy takes the stress out of buying shares online
www.sharecrazy.com is a popular share trading service that provides
an accessible and jargon-free way for people to buy and sell shares
online. The Web site offers a low-cost share dealing service for just
£9 per trade flat fee, with no other charges. It provides facilities
and help for its members, sends out a daily shares bulletin and enables
traders to share valuable tips and experiences through the popular bulletin
board. Joe Public, the site's cartoon private investor, makes online
trading a breeze as he guides visitors through the simple processes
involved.
Meet a group of ShareCrazy users who formed their own club
Keith Gowthorpe is the publican of The Woolpack in Peterborough, who
also likes a dabble in share trading on the internet. In fact, he likes
it so much he's started his own 'share club' in his pub.
Keith has been a publican in Peterborough for eleven years and first
started to dabble in shares fifteen years ago. At the time, he admits
that his dealings were a bit haphazard, but when he became a publican
he realised that he had a lot more free time to trade shares. Then Keith
stumbled upon ShareCrazy two years ago and since then he hasn't looked
back.
The Share Club has already made a number of successful trades. The group
meet each week in the Woolpack and their meetings are often fuelled with
ideas taken from the ShareCrazy Web site - and, in particular, its friendly
and informative bulletin board.
"I like ShareCrazy, because although I had been messing about with
shares for a number of years, I really didn't know too much about share
trading, and I found the ShareCrazy Forum to be tremendously helpful,"
explains Keith. "It attracts both amateur and professional traders
and investors because of its friendly, helpful style, which is encouraged
and maintained by being constantly monitored." Another reason for
like ShareCrazy is the very competitive trading cost - £9.00 to
buy, £9.00 to sell, and no additional costs whatsoever."
The meetings Keith organises have proved a great success. "We follow
the normal agenda for a meeting, discuss how our portfolio is doing and
what potential investment opportunities may have caught members' eyes
during the week, and what, if any, stock we might be wanting to sell.
I have a wireless link to my laptop, which helps during the meetings."
Of course, there's a social side to the meetings as well. Keith says:
"As we meet in a pub, there's the odd pint or two consumed during
the course of a meeting, and the general duty of putting the world to
rights! The Members state that, even if the Club doesn't make a profit,
the Landlord definitely will!"
